Growing up navigating multiple identities between Phoenix and the Navajo Nation, Emerson channels his life experiences into comedy that tackles emotionally charged subjects including race, mental health, and love. Beyond stand-up, he is a founding member of DeadRoom Comedy, an award-winning production company dedicated to amplifying Native voices in comedy—a mission born from his observation that few authentic Native comedians were represented in club systems, despite Indigenous humor being central to his culture.
